Redefining Rules Of Promotion?

The ongoing friction bet­ween multiplexes and pro­du­cers/distributors just might redefine the rules of film pro­mo­tion and marketing.

Since new film releases were suspen­ded indefinitely from 4th April, most of the producers of completed films refrained from launching their publicity campaigns in the absence of confirmed dates of release of their films.

But once new films start releasing in right earnest, some producers might want to relea­se their films forthwith, even with minimal promotion, just so that they don’t clash with other films.
