Any Logic?

Love Aaj Kal

It is not without reason that people refer to the film industry as the most speculative industry in the world. No calculations count in this business. The most eagerly await- ed film can flop and, likewise, the least anticipated film can hit the bull’s eye. In other words, nobody can predict with cent per cent accuracy what surprise or shock a Friday will throw up. Two recent films underline the speculative nature of this business.

Mixed Opening Response

De Dana Dan

The initial of this week’s De Dana Dan has followed exactly the same pattern as was evident earlier during the week when the advance booking windows opened in single-screen cinemas and multiplexes. While the single-screen cinemas recorded good advance booking, that was not the case in the multiplexes.

Review of Kurbaan

KurbaanOn the whole, Kurbaan is a weak fare which will entail heavy losses to its all-world distributors, UTV. Its dull start at many places will only add to its tale of woes as there isn’t anything in the film to warrant a miraculous pick-up.

Review of Shaabash! You Can Do It!

ShaabashOn the whole, Shaabash! You Can Do It! fails to do ‘it’… or anything else. Disaster. Different Strokes Communication Pvt. Ltd.’s Shaabash! You Can Do It! is about a bunch of college students and their professor getting involved in a murder.
