Shahid Kapoor: Anything For Kids
January 25, 2010 by FSJ

At the Mumbai Marathon held on 17th January, Shahid Kapoor represented two charities for children. The actor, who is known for his philanthropic ways, lent his support to Childline and Swayamsiddha, two NGOs working for the benefit of children in need.
Childline is an NGO which works for the benefit of children in distress, and Swayamsiddha is an NGO aiming at providing assistance to children with special needs. “I feel very fortunate to be able to associate myself with this cause,” said Kapoor. “Childline is a 24-hour helpline for any kind of emergency regarding children. The number is very simple: 1098. Anyone who sees a child in distress can call on that number.”
