Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee opened on 23rd January to a very good response. Although the initial of the multi-starcast film starring Amitabh Bach­chan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Aishwarya Rai and Tusshar Kapoor was very good, the film ultimately did not work at the box-office.

Rishi Kapoor’s debut directorial film, Aa Ab Laut Chalen, was seen by the Cen­tral Board of Film Certification on 12th January and issued a ‘U’ certificate on 15th. The film was 4,848.07 metres in length (19 reels).
